The Asian Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) 2016 is to be held on November 2-5 2016 at the Kobe Convention Center, Kobe, Japan. Hosted by the Organization of JDDW which is consist of 4 major societies, The Japanese Society of Gastroenterology (JSGE), the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES), the Japan Society of Hepatology (JSH), and the local executive committee of APDW 2016 is pleased to invite all experts and scholar from whole world to share the exciting and unique experience of digestive diseases with global dimension.
We are confident that APDW 2016 definitely is a great opportunity to share your research and insights. Please submit abstracts for free paper sessions and digital poster presentations.


  • All abstracts must be submitted via the Conference website. The abstract submitted by post, fax or e-mail is not acceptable.
  • Abstracts should contain original material that has neither been published nor presented at another International meeting at the time of submission. In addition, abstracts should not be submitted to international meetings which take place before the APDW. However, abstracts submitted to, or presented at, local and national meetings may be considered. If applicable, the abstract should state: "This research has been approved by an ethical committee".
  • All abstracts must be written in English, including the title, abstract text, names of the authors, affiliations, figure and graph.
  • All presentation including digital poster presentations should be made in English.
  • Please note that penalties might be imposed if you do not give your presentation(s) on-site.


Abstract should comprise the following elements, with each beginning a new paragraph:

  • Title: The abstract title should be written in initial capital / lower case form, not all capital.
  • Authors: Authors' names should be supplied in the surname-last format and should be in initial capital/lower case, not all capitals. Institutional affiliations should be indicated with superscript numbers following the author name.
  • Affiliation: All affiliations should contain institution, city and country.
  • Abstract text: The abstract should be as informative as possible. The abstract text for the original article should include: Background/Aims, Methods, Results and discussion, Conclusions. For case reports, the abstract should include an introduction and case description.
  • Table/Figure: One table or figure can be included in one abstract and must be cited in the abstract text. The abstracts themselves must be in text, not table format.

  • Title: Less than 40 words (280 characters)
  • Abstract body:
      Without Table / Figure: less than 300 words (2,100 characters)
      With Table / Figure: less than 250 words (1,750 characters) *Do not include words in the Table / Figure

Abstracts Review and Selection

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. Authors will be notified of selection via e-mail in the beginning of July, 2016.

** At APDW 2016, there will be no poster presentations in paper form. They will be conducted using plasma displays. All digital poster presentation must be given in English.
You can make presentations with video. The presentation data need to be registered in advance through website.
As full high-definition monitors will be used for the presentations, they will have the same reproducibility as paper. You can browse through the presentation topics at any time during the event using PCs at the conference venue.

APDWF / JGHF Travel Grants

The APDWF / JGHF Travel Grants are to provide the opportunity for clinicians and scientists in the early stages of their career to broaden their education and experience the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. APDWF and JGHF offer up to 20 Travel Grants each.

APDWF / JGHF Young Investigator Awards (YIA)

Young Investigator Award (YIA) is to stimulate interest in research training by rewarding outstanding examples of excellence amongst those involved in research training in the early stages of their career (up to five (5) years following the completion of training in gastroenterology/hepatology). Authors / Applicants must be from nationalities of Asian Pacific countries. Young Investigator Award (YIA) is jointly sponsored by the APDWF and the JGHF. Up to 8 best YIA papers shall be selected.

APDWF Posters of Distinction Award

Posters of Distinction Award is to stimulate interest in research training by rewarding outstanding examples of excellence amongst those involved in research training in the early stages of their career (up to five (5) years following the completion of training in gastroenterology/hepatology). and who prefer to present their papers in poster mode. Applicants / Authors must be from nationalities of Asia- Pacific countries. Posters of Distinction Award are sponsored by the APDWF.
